What happens when hope starts to die? In "The Sadness of Hope", the death of optimism spreads like a disease and the pandemic sweeps the world in waves. Scientists are unable to understand or contain the illness as it rips across the globe. Society collapses the world over as even those who are unaffected start to crumble. Soon there is a blurred line between who is ill, and who is not. And when hope dies, what happens to civilisation?
