In 2016 author D.W. Ulsterman released The Writer, the first book in the ongoing San Juan Islands Mystery series. Centered around the life of a young reporter obsessed with finding the truth even when that discovery might threaten her life, as well as a collection of interesting and colorful secondary characters, the series quickly earned an appreciative following and was awarded Kindle Scout honors. 

The Writer was then followed by Dark Waters, Murder on Matia, Rosario's Revenge, Roche Harbor Rogue, Turn Point Massacre, and the just-released Deadman Island. The next in the series, The Truthing Tree, is due for release in 2022.
