After the death of her mother, Angela de Vere decided to visit Austria, her mother's homeland. Whilst there, she learns that her fiance, Christopher, has decided to marry somebody else. Trying to come to terms with her grief, she found work as secretary to Robert Keigerl, an intimidating giant of a man. The mutual attraction between them became harder and harder to ignore and Robert seemed determined to make her acknowledge the chemistry between them. He thought their involvement would be purely temporary and that Angela would want to return to England, but Angela wasn't so sure...
