The criminal mastermind known only as 'Simon Boyle' has amassed a vast fortune defrauding banks. Scotland Yard, unable to identify and apprehend him, is forced to call in private detective John Blackmore. Blackmore's investigations lead to Boyle's arrest - but not before he brutally murders the detective's informant. After his trial, still hiding his real identity, Boyle faces execution.
