A year has passed from the worldwide referendum in which the people of Earth asked the Guardians to leave. Not long after, things begin to spiral out of control. But luckily for them, a small group of Guardians remained behind in secret. They are safeguarding mankind's welfare, keeping watch on them and waiting for them to have a change of heart. As the Guardians seize the opportunity to offer the hand of friendship and help rebuild a ruined world, an ancient enemy emerges to forge alliances with those who should know better.
