When Jane Hollis discovers that her father, Andrew Hollis and the art critic Ben Tyrill, are the same and that he is being linked with an art forgery, she travels to Italy to see him. On the train she befriends journalist Carl Beaumont. But has he befriended her in the hope of a story?
