Jenny, a young teacher in London, spends her long summer holiday at Embury Court, a beautiful Tudor mansion where her uncle is curator. Also in residence are the handsome son and heir of the owners, Lord and Lady Mountfields, and an artist employed to paint romantic views of the house to sell in the souvenir shop. Between the two of them, and the vagaries of the weather, Jenny is whirled on to a merry-go-round of love, laughter, danger and tears.
