Starting out for Tucson, Ten and Lolotea are married by a traveling preacher. Ten finds out his Pa went to Salt Lake City, so they head that way. After crossing the Colorado River, Ten has to take a job as Deputy Sheriff of Kanab, Utah. He stops a major bank robbery, then is accused of stealing a horse. This is simply a cover allowing Lolotea to be kidnapped by a self-important Mormon Elder. When the Elder doesn’t show for the trial, Ten is released. He faces hostile Utes, a vengeful old man and his sons, and near death from wounds in his search for Lolotea. An old man from his Pa’s past comes along and helps him rescue Lolotea. The old man is killed in a shoot-out with past enemies but lives long enough to give Ten some confusing news.
