Christie Watson recommends
This is Why We Can't Have Nice Things (2024)
Naomi Wood
"A whip-smart, funny, and pitch-perfect collection of stories about flawed and complex women we actually recognise. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things is literary fiction at its best, and Naomi Wood a writer at the top of her game."
Dazzling (2023)
Chịkọdịlị Emelụmadụ
"Dazzling is an erudite, original and beautifully written first novel. Chikodili Emelumadu is a writer to watch."
Djinn Patrol on the Purple Line (2020)
Deepa Anappara
"The children at the heart of this story will stay with you long after you turn the last page . . . A wonderful debut."
