It's the late 1960s, and not much shocks detective Frank Hastings anymore. After six years in the S.F. police department's homicide division, he's used to the grisly murders, most of them simple, mindless acts of brutality.
But when a hippie John Doe turns up dead in the city's Haight Ashbury district, Hastings enters a strange, twisted world of flower children, love-ins, LSD, organized crime and O.D.s, planned or accidental. He's out of his element until he discovers his daughter, a runaway, wanders somewhere on those dangerous streets. Will she be the next victim?
"A first-rate detective story and a graphic portrait of the hippie generation." (B-O-T Editorial Review Board)
Genre: Mystery
