Ladesan the Magus can alter and remove memories, but not all his customers employ him for benevolent reasons.

Under the threat of exile, he is forced to help the would-be Lord of Calnibur make voters forget that they have been coerced into securing him a position of power.

The game is politics, and there are unlimited pawns in play. The board is the streets of Calnibur, and the pieces do not know that they are being moved - only that they are subjects of the Haze.

Enter the world of Iraldas. Meet the Memory Magus.

Interview with the Author

Q - So, what makes the Memory Magus series special?

A - The stories are all set in the fantasy world of Iraldas, better known from the Children of Telm series, but they focus on the unusual and mysterious character of Ladesan the Magus, and how he changes people and the world around him by working a new kind of magic upon the mind.

Readers can expect interesting characters, intriguing plots, and stories that will ultimately be very memorable.

Q - Why is fantasy such an important genre?

A - I see fantasy as the modern heir of ancient mythology, the continuation of those tales that moved so many people in bygone days. The best fantasy novels not only offer us a means of escape, but help us better explore the real issues of the world, under the veil of symbol and myth.

I think this is why there are so many fantasy best sellers, in print or Kindle, because it answers to a core human need - the desire to understand ourselves and the world around us.

Q - So, what makes these books a must read?

A - Because they explore how memories affect us, how altering them can alter entire worlds and change entire lives. They offer a further glimpse into the world of Iraldas, which is populated by the peculiar and the strange. Expect high fantasy romance, political intrigue, magic and wizards, and a whole lot of meddling with people's memories.

The bottom line: If you enjoy quick reads that leave a lasting effect, then these stories are for you.

Q - Can readers expect more stories set in Iraldas?

A - Definitely. I've been working on more short stories in the Memory Magus series. There will be plenty more to follow, and I hope to flesh out the world of Iraldas even more in the months and years to come.

Thanks for reading!
