Luca, are we good, decent people?
In spite of his consigliere and lover always answering positively to this question, Brian has his doubts; killing, even if its done to protect the helpless and innocent, is still wrong, he mentally replied. A few days of vacation at the family cabin seems a good way of forgetting about his moral dilemma and enjoy some peace and relaxation.
Thats until his father, Anthony, decides to entrust Brian with a secret, adding to the already heavy burden his son is carrying on his shoulders: he has an illegitimate child, the result of an affair he had during a period of crisis in his marriage. He also asks Brian to find the woman and the child, to which the librarian agrees, in spite of having only bits and pieces of information.
A desperate, wrong number call in the middle of the night sets in motion a chain of events that culminates with Brian making two shocking discoveries: his fathers affair had as result not one, but two children, twins, one of them being closer than the librarian thought. Brians joy turns to heartbreak when, in a heart-to-heart talk, his siblings tell him they see him as their best friend, and are not interested to meet the other members of the family.
When one of his siblings ex threatens them, Brian has to break the promise of not intervening in their lives. His protective instincts kick in, the Old-World Mafia leader in him takes control, and, together with his consigliere and submissive Luca, he does what he knows best: serves justice in a irrevocable manner.
What would be Brians newfound siblings reaction to what he did to keep them out of harms way? Would the family problems drive the librarian and his three life partners apart, or would the bond between them become even tighter? And, above all, will the librarian pay less attention to Donna Fabrizias schemes, or is he as alert as ever?
