Jenny (J. L.) Witterick always found the idea of writing for a living enchanting but put her dream on the backburner for a more practical career choice. Ironically, the first step on Jennys path to becoming a bestselling author was walking away from writing.
Jenny is the daughter of Chinese immigrants who came to Canada in 1968 when she was 7 years old. Though Jenny discovered her love of writing at a young age, she tethered herself to the stability of a career in business. She graduated from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario and went on to become the president of Sky Investment Counsel, one of the largest international money managers in Canada.
Once she established a fruitful career and didnt have to worry about her livelihood, Jenny circled back to her passion of writing.
