The Mermaid's Curse

I used to be a mermaid, or at least that’s what I’m told.

Without my memories, I’ll never know why I became human, or why Poseidon is out to destroy me. Oh, did I mention that I live in Atlantis? Yes, sunken to the ocean floor with a dome surrounding it, there’s no way to escape.
I’ve accepted my fate, or rather, I had until two river gods showed up.
Carson, a shark shifter, and Danyl, a crocodile shifter, declare that I’m the key to restoring Atlantis. How can this be true? I’m human! They reveal that I used to be a mermaid in Poseidon’s castle. I thought it was a good idea to protect Atlantis from his destruction, but all it got me was being stripped of my tail and being cast out to the place he’ll sink if I don’t complete the quest he gave me. A quest I can’t remember.
It’s up to me to have Atlantis restored, but how can I focus on the task at hand when Carson and Danyl keep distracting me with arousing looks and passionate promises?
