When Lesley's sister, Italian husband and baby are drowned at sea, Lesley goes to the small Italian island of Procida to claim their cottage. She is not welcomed by the Italian family and soon realises that there is some mystery about the fatal drowning. When Lesley's life is threatened, an exiled Englishman rescues her and shows her where her heart really lies.
