The Strangers at Briery Hall

When young journalist Laurie Casson learns that the elusive actress Martina Lee is occupying Briery Hall, she is determined to interview her. But things go sadly wrong and she is shown the door by Miss Lee's handsome son, Julien de Montet. Laurie is astounded when she later receives a proposition from Martina Lee - an exclusive interview in return for her company on a journey to the actress's chateau near Bordeaux. But Laurie is unprepared for the mystery which she finds there.
