Pat White has been spinning stories in her head ever since she was a little girl - stories filled with handsome princes, mountainous lands and the magic we call love.
In the early 1990s, she took a break from her journalism career to raise her two sons. As a freelance writer and housewife, she began writing romance fiction as a diversion from potty training, Barney repeats and pre-bedtime meltdowns. With her computer on the dining room table, she wrote romantic suspense and romantic comedy novels starring mercenaries, figure skaters and senior citizens. (No, not all in the same book!)
Seven years later, after having been a finalist in the prestigious Golden Heart contest six times, Pat sold two books and was an overnight success! She currently writes for the Harlequin Intrigue and Silhouette Nocturne lines, along with romantic comedies for Dorchester Publishing.
Pat has been active in Romance Writers of America, having served as president, advisor and newsletter editor for three chapters. She volunteers to speak to groups about the life of writing, and has written articles for the Romance Writers Report and RWA chapter newsletters.
When not writing, you'll find Pat at the movies (her other passion), hiking in the Cascade Mountains or chasing any one of three cats out of the toilet.
