Rivals

(2023)
(The third book in the La Rue Family Crime Thriller series)
A novel by

As the family unravels, how can Henri La Rue restore order?

Henri is the day-to-day head of the La Rue crime family in Paris. His uncle Gerard is technically the boss, but Henri is the one who really makes things go. It had been understood by everyone, for years, that once Gerard finally died or stepped away, Henri would inherit the throne. It had been understood until a series of complications began to tear away at all of those assumptions.
Complications. That is what the third book in this series is really about -- complications, rivals, and how Henri chooses to attempt to restore order, to repair a succession plan that had begun to fray.
Complications, such as the arrival of a new relative under mysterious circumstances. Complications, like the priest who started out as Gerard's spiritual arrival but who has grown into so much more. Complications, like the inexplicable relationship that has developed between Henri's brother Martin and his cousin Michel.
Each issue individually threatens Henri's future. The three of them combined, though, could completely knock him out. How Henri works to deal with the threats and get back on track is what
Rivals is all about.
