Any writing of fiction presents untold challenges, but some challenges the writer must put to himself to succeed. The most important challenge to oneself as a storyteller or novelist is to make the story compelling, so compelling that the reader will, for the duration of the story, be abducted by it, the author making the reader a complete participant.
