When a local librarian is found murdered in Bellview, with a boiled egg stuffed in his throat and his body drenched in pig’s blood, Detective Rose Sanchez is called to the scene. At the same time, Rose’s partner, Alex, is in Boston on a separate case.
As the investigation deepens, Alex and Rose discover that both cases are tied to a cult worshipping the goddess Astarte, whose followers believe that ritual sacrifices during the full moon will bring about peace—but at a deadly cost.
As the full moon approaches, the FBI steps in, led by Rose’s former mentor and ex-lover, Special Agent Forrest. Tensions rise as Rose and Forrest clash over the direction of the case.
