London, 1960. Patsy Lamb is turning seventeen at the start of a decade that will change everything. The slums of the East End are beginning to be knocked down, and a new modern lifestyle is being promised to Patsy and her friends. Working at the local salon, Patsy hears all the gossip and even if her parents are wary of the changes to the world they know, Patsy can't help but be carried away with the new freedom promised to her generation. But along with the bright lights, the short skirts and the new music at the dance halls, there are darker changes afoot too. As the old time crooks are driven out of the shadows of the alleys and into the flourishing new night clubs, for Patsy it's more than her heart that's in danger, as she ventures out into the swinging sixties...
