Sam Wiebe recommends

Sweet Thing (2023)
David Swinson
"As tough and tender-hearted as a Springsteen song, Sweet Thing has it all: mystery, romance, danger and damnation. Swinson is a master of creating damaged but compelling characters who straddle both sides of the law. Sweet Thing is a triumph."
thumb
Sunsetter (2023)
Curtis Leblanc
"Sunsetter is high-grade prairie noir suffused with literary atmosphere. LeBlanc writes with empathy and a poet's precision."

In the Dark We Forget (2022)
Sandra SG Wong
"Wong works wonders with In the Dark We Forget, a gripping psychological thriller that hooks you from page one and never relents. The characters and setting ring true in this powerful, haunting story about family, memory, and loss."
