We woke up to a morning of dim dread. The sun did not rise over the forest; the day could not penetrate the gloom cast over Titania Academy and all the Faerie Lands. Cold and scared, we ventured outside and tried to make sense of everything.
The natural power of the land was severely dampened. It was as if our enchanted world had stopped generating magic, stopped glowing with the innate energy of life. The trees and flowers slowly wilted, as though they could not muster the strength to thrive.
We become aware of the dread. Absolute and permeating trepidation was bleeding out over the Faerie Lands as if it were an unstoppable rot slowly growing over everything.
Then we found Titania, lying in a bed of drooping ferns. We could not wake her. Her health seemed to be draining away. The land was dying, and so was our Titania, our Queen.
