Since her husband's death, running the Villa Giula has been uneventful for Nan--that is until an eccentric group of guests check in to the cozy inn. As colorful as they are beautiful, the characters turn Nan's life upside-down, and the long-awaited arrival of the elusive Lily cannot come too soon, for it promises to put an end to all the chaos. The second book in "Rosamunde Pilcher's Bookshelf, Meeting Lily" is a wonderful novel, full of lovingly drawn characters, graceful humor and a subtle creation of atmosphere and emotion.
