Now that Eric Branson and his small militia have a much better idea of what they’re up against, it’s time to go on the offensive and take the fight to the enemy.
The first mission involves the rescue of the friends he and Jonathan met on the upper Atchafalaya River. But Eric Branson won’t ignore the opportunity to strike hard at the heart of the operation that is bringing so much fear and disruption to the residents of the region. If Branson and his team succeed, will their efforts buy them time to build a stronger resistance, or will overwhelming odds force them to evacuate the river basin to seek refuge elsewhere?

Eric Branson and his team have dealt their enemies a decisive blow, wiping out an entire unit of rogue soldiers and liberating refugees from the largest detention camp in the region. Keith Branson and the rest of Eric’s family and friends are holding their own at Sierra Zulu, their hidden place of refuge deep in Louisiana’s Atchafalaya swamp.But enemy forces are determined to hunt them down and kill them in their quest to dominate the region and control the navigable waterways connecting the Gulf of Mexico with points north.
The growing militia consisting of new volunteers from a displaced population is nearly ready for action, but a deserter and traitor has other plans. Will Eric Branson return from his expedition east of the Mississippi River with the military aid he went there to find? And if he does, will it be too late for the defenders, betrayed and isolated by the forces aligned against them?
