The seventeenth week of the apocalypse has brought a new danger to our group of survivors. The dead are now nothing but a nuisance and a mystery figure as well as the meat wagons are making Pickle, Karen, Vince and the rest of the crew very nervous.
With Vince, Pickle and Karen leaving the street, shrouded in secrecy, Mildred feels left out and decides to escape the suffocation of staying in the street. Her walk around the rest of Little Haywood becomes eventful, and she gets into trouble, narrowly escaping with her life.
After Mildred’s adventure, a trip to a place from the past is needed and some members of the group have to go on a rescue mission. But tragedy is never far away and the group have to contend with more loss of life before the week is finished.
