This volume is composed of dramatic color photographs accumulated over many years by award-winning photographer Woldendorp. They reflect moments of discovery, pattern, and form, often of unusual aspects of the natural landscape but also of the man-made world, in particular the effect of the seasonal activity of agriculture on the landscape. In an extensive introductory essay, Australian author Winton provides his own reflections on landscapes, which are his personal passion.
