Second Transgression
(2020)(The second book in the Oberon Reformatory series)
A novel by Wendi L Wilson
In the confines of Oberon Reformatory, it’s often easy to do the wrong things for the right reasons.
I’ve done it. Somehow, I’ve convinced Echo Oberon that I respect and admire him, and that I am grateful for his offer to tutor me. And that I humbly accept his magnanimous proposal.
But just when everything seems to be going exactly to plan, the whole thing blows up in my face. Echo is not as susceptible to my false admiration as I thought, and somehow coerces me into revealing the true extent of my powers—which gets me sent straight into solitary confinement.
When my stint in solitary is over, everything has changed. I know what I have to do.
Alienate my new friends. Prove to Echo Oberon I have no one and nothing. Get back in his good graces and solve this mystery by myself, so no one else has to suffer.
Especially Asher York. Despite my attempts to keep my distance, he’s worked his way into my heart—which means he’d be the first one to get hurt if this whole plan goes south. And I care enough about him to push him away before that happens.
With words I can’t take back, I wound those closest to me and sever all ties.
But in the end, the one who takes the most damage is me.
Genre: Young Adult Fantasy
