The facade of the quintessentially English market town of Mickleburgh has successfully hidden the secrets of its inhabitants for generations but the casual murder of a man trying to prevent some vandalism shatters the peaceful veneer. Parents are forced to consider that their children might be involved in the killing and the aftermath of violent death reveals unexpected reactions and emotions between aprtners and friends.
