Hahmood’s first real piece of detective work consists of him finding the person responsible for poisoning the water source for a struggling farmer’s small herd. Her young sons are working hard to keep their home flourishing but this assault on their homestead is going to break the entire family. Hahmood discovers that close neighbors have more than a passing interest in acquiring more land and soon, despite knowing he should not do so, the old ways rear up and he finds himself involved in more than one bout of gunplay.
