"A Vision in White" has a wonderful history. Otto Penzler invited me to contribute a tennis story to an anthology, and I wrote one, but by the time Murder is My Racquet was published, I'd already included the story in my omnibus collection, Enough Rope. That meant Otto couldn't use it, so he asked me to write another, and the result was "A Vision in White."
Then Murder is My Racquet came out, and he'd made a mistake (Otto? I know, hard to believe) and used the first story, "Terrible Tommy Terhune." So I had an unpublished story in hand, and sold it to Ellery Queen, the only place it has thus far appeared.
I hope you enjoy it!
Genre: Mystery
