Amazon bestseller Riley Blake grew up in the country surrounded by horses, cows, cats, dogs, and a lot of siblings to keep her in line. With the hustle and bustle of the family's farm, Riley often looked for quiet places to read the latest Nancy Drew or Trixie Belden mystery. While her friends dreamt of marrying Prince Charming, Riley dreamed of writing the dashing prince's murder mystery and inevitably killed him off right before he returned Cinderella's glass slipper. In those days, she enjoyed coming up with a list of suspects and felt her day wasn't complete until all present relatives participated in solving the day's crime.

Today, Riley focuses on creating stories for readers of all ages, but on occasion she still reaches out to a friend or relative to see if they’re interested in solving a crime or two. Most of the time, they want a side of romance in their mysteries, too, which is why Riley penned the Bayou Cozy Romantic Thrills series.

Written for the Miss Fortune world, which was created by New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the Bayou Cozy Romantic Thrills series currently includes Bayou Valentine, Bayou Halloween, and Bayou Christmas with more short stories on the way in 2019.

When Riley isn't writing, she can be found cooking her favorite stews, reading, or planning her next writing retreat. She enjoys visiting libraries and participating in book clubs.
