When the town librarian is an avid mystery and true-crime reader, the local law enforcement must need a book-smart assistant like her, right?
Is there any better meal in the entire year than Thanksgiving dinner? The turkey, stuffing, rolls, gravy, green beans ― not casserole ― and cranberry sauce are all necessary ingredients for the perfect feast. This year, Rebecca’s library friend, Jeremy, decides to switch things up on her. After agreeing to participate in the Turkey Trot, a 5k run to benefit the Community Center, she and Kenny accept an invitation to a non-traditional, catered Thanksgiving dinner at Jeremy’s dream home high above Newfound Lake.
Most of the group assembled have plans to go home after dinner, but an unexpected ice storm traps them together overnight. When morning comes, one less guest shows up to the breakfast table. Rebecca and Kenny begin the process of determining if this was a death by natural causes or a death by dinner guest.
