Welcome to Strawberry Valley, a nice mountain town where not much has changed in a hundred years: The trolleys go up and down Main Street, the river flows through town, and the historic Alhambra Theater looks the same as it did in the old days, when it showed silent movies.
Jim Arbuckle, the new manager of the Alhambra, has a problem. No one in town will go to the movies because they think the last manager was murdered there and the place is haunted. Now Jim must figure out what happened to the beloved former manager of his theater, or the Alhambra may have to close down from lack of income. Jim will need the help of the town's colorful locals, including his fellow movie nerd, an inquisitive local teenager named Lilly. Can Jim find out the truth and save this old theater?
