Bridie Clark spent a happy childhood in West Hartford, CT. Her parents encouraged her early love of reading and writing.
In 1999, Bridie graduated from Harvard College, where she was an editor of The Harvard Crimson. She has since worked as a book and magazine editor, and written for The New York Times, Vanity Fair, New York, Quest, and Elegant Bride. Bridie's debut novel, BECAUSE SHE CAN, was published in nineteen countries around the world and was reviewed and featured in dozens of magazines and newspapers, including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Vanity Fair, Glamour UK, and USA TODAY.
