Hope Carries a Flintlock

(2024)
(The ninth book in the Doc Hatcher series)
A Story by

Jeff Crawford and M. Schneider together for the first time with one huge Western adventure!

Doc is tired. Tired of the world, tired of himself, tired of everything he ever cared about being taken from him, tired of the rain that has come down in biblical proportions for 8 days. Into the remains of a cabin belonging to a now deceased trapper, he goes to seek shelter from the weather and everything else.

Bernadette had a husband, a well-to-do, powerful, brutal and abusive husband. He was her husband until she had taken all the pain she could and ended his life. Now hurt and fleeing for her life from her brother-in-law, she finds a cabin that is barely standing where she can hide herself to heal and wait out this once in a generation storm.

Together they will help each other. Doc will tend her wounds while protecting her; Bernadette will show him that there are still reasons for living each day.

The question remains, though—will the strength they give each other be enough against so many who want her dead along with anyone who is foolish enough to help her?
