For the last eight years Karen Cleveland has been a CIA analyst, regularly writing briefs for the U.S. President and other senior policymakers. She earned more than a dozen performance awards and graduated from the CIA’s Advanced Analyst Program. While at the Agency, she spent six months on rotation to the FBI, working closely with a Joint Terrorism Task Force. She has master’s degrees from Trinity College Dublin (International Peace Studies) and Harvard University (Public Policy). She spent a year in Ireland as a Fulbright Scholar. She lives in Northern Virginia with her husband and two young sons.
