Summer is waning in the Green Mountains of Vermont, and folks in the little town of Williamsbridge are gearing up for the annual Blueberry Harvest Festival. Innkeepers and amateur sleuths, Eloise and Matthew, are busy as usual at the Inn at Pumpkin Hill, and looking forward to an influx of guests.
A new resort has come to town—along with its developer, the flashy Ray Gateway, who claims he’s excited to team up with the local businesses in the village so that everyone will profit. It doesn’t take long for shop and restaurant owners to realize that Ray does not have their best interests at heart, and when he turns up dead, it’s anyone’s guess who did the deed.
Eloise and Matthew have their hands full, but step in to help the police investigate anyway. They’ll be shocked to their foundations when the clues point to a very unexpected killer.
