A novel by

Nora Robbins has carried a secret or two for decades, and the arrival of a postcard brings everything slamming back into sharp focus. A man from her past, someone she should have killed, has resurfaced. Lord Quenton Goosemoor’s threat to tell the police about what she’s done means there’s only one thing for it—she must silence him for good. But how?

The twins are busy with planning murder themselves. The targets in question are linked to women living at their refuge, Dolly’s Haven. But it’s dangerous to kill men who all have a certain link, so how can five lives be extinguished without the police putting two and two together?

Nora pays a visit to Quenton at Goosemoor Manor, determined to find out what the message on the postcard
really meant. What she doesn’t expect is for him to demand a favour. It’s a big ask, and she’s in her seventies now, so it won’t be easy. Should she do it? Or should she contact The Brothers?

Then a violent killing spree rips through The Cardigan Estate, people gunned down at random by a man in a balaclava. Who is he, and why is he on a rampage? Couple that with a famous elderly actor going missing, not to mention Lord Goosemoor, and it seems everything is happening at once.

When the action dies down, Nora must make a decision. Will flying off to sunnier climes mean the past can be forgotten? Or will it follow, a constant ghost at her back? She has a feeling that knowing her luck, the past will never die.
