The feathered snake is real. It crawled through a portal in the lobby of his office building, and now it's up on the 19th floor with some dangerous cultists who think it's an Aztec god.

There's no point in reporting it. Who would believe him? The smart thing to do is keep quiet, finish his shift, and go home. But the snake has Sally, the cute girl from the card store. There is nobody to save her. Nobody but a desperate, frightened security guard who can't quite believe his own eyes...
