(2014)
A novel by

Hunky MLB player Henry Vaughn, Jr. is very protective of his reputation both on and off the field. When a rumor starts to spread that there’s a gay guy on the team, his homophobia goes into overdrive.

Being falsely outed would be his worst nightmare.

So far, the only chink in his manly armor is having asthma. Henry secretly takes part in a clinical drug trial in the hopes of ditching his asthma inhaler before anyone catches him using it. Unfortunately, the experimental drug has an odd side effect.

Henry suddenly finds himself attracted to men.

Thomas, a nurse by day and drag queen by night, somehow sees past Henry’s homophobia to the frightened man inside. Thomas isn’t convinced it’s the drug that “made” him gay. All he knows is Henry’s hurting, and he wants to help. After all, he knows firsthand how terrifying it can be to come out of the closet.

As Thomas supports Henry and calms his fears, the two cannot help but fall in love.

Loving Thomas helps Henry see the world in a new and beautiful light, but he worries what will happen if the tabloids discover he has a boyfriend. Thomas is devoted to Henry, but he's proud of who he is and refuses to live a lie.

Can love help Henry find the courage to speak out against hate?

And what happens if the effects of the pill wear off?
