Adam Steele was not a fool. Not a complete fool, anyway. Just fool enough to head out into this killer of a country without food or water, riding barebacked and armed with only the most primitive of weapons. For what? To recover several thousand dollars he didn't even know he was guarding? Maybe. If he happened to come across it he might just choose to forget the way the money had been smuggled into his care, and return it to its rightful owners. To capture and kill the three Mexicans and the American woman who had stolen it and murdered two stage passengers in the process? Again, just maybe - if that was the way it had to be.
