Jasper Duran has always had a knack for art. The ranch hands at Divine Light Ranch are always telling him to sell his art, but he feels like that would destroy his creativity.
The newest cowgirl at Melody Meadow Ranch, May Dunlap, is desperate to find a way to cheer up her mom now that she’s finally back home from an extended hospital stay after she fell off her roof. She’s thinking an art commission just might be the ticket.
The two met months ago, through the football team, so Jasper, despite misgivings, accepts the commission. He tries and tries again to make something perfect for May’s mom, but nothing is worthy of his high standards.
The harder Jasper works, the more May appreciates every endeavor. Even more than that, she starts to see the cowboy in a new light. Her attempts to bolster his confidence, though, all backfire.
They say that cooking is the way to a man’s heart, but in this case, maybe May needs to put some crayons onto paper...
