Two Trees Hollow

Sweetspring is a quiet western town until an itinerant gang of robbers causes havoc. Wesley Vernon, a 24-year-old mine engineer, thinks he recognizes the robbers' leader as a childhood friend and determines to bring him to justice. Before he sets off he is devastated to learn that his intended bride, Maddy, has been promised to a wealthy banker from Boston. Never could Wes have imagined how his moral courage would be tested as he faces gun battles, bank raids, a prison breakout, and coming face-to-face with his childhood friend, and then incredibly with Maddy's suitor. Further complications ensue with a chance meeting with Alice, a devious beauty, who plays a dangerous game of her own.
