Bifrost Crossing

Novelette. Infantryman Jere Suiter awakened in a psychiatrist's chair in a space station and the medical officer was saying, "At any point in time you are who you are and you are where you are." Jere had the man on that point, however, for if there was anything Jere Suiter knew, it was that he wasn't who he was and he certainly wasn't where he was . . . or something like that.
