When cousin Goeffrey had caught her eavesdropping outside his (her father’s) study, he immediately decided that she needed to leave. Next thing they knew, they were on their way to a farm in Minnesota.

Luckily he was the owner of the hotel, and ensured she had a room, after which he took his leave – no fraternizing with guests was the policy!
Helen loved children, and soon became fast friends with Lannie, Seth’s daughter.
