Mistaken Groom

(2022)
(The fourth book in the MacPherson Sisters series)
A novel by

Winifred – (Winnie) was the dutiful sister. So why Goeffrey had sent her to the farm with Helen when he was mad at Helen was anybody’s guess. So now here she was, alone with the woman they were sent to, and Helen had left for Crescent City to be married. Oh, what to do??
Winnie didn’t know what was going on at home, and the other sisters didn’t know where she was. To top it off, Helen hadn’t written either.
When Helen finally wrote, she sent a ticket for Winnie to come to Crescent City and marry a man she had chosen for Winnie. She was so relieved! Staying on the farm was terrifying.

Phil – Helen and Phil had become great friends when they were both staying at Seth’s hotel. Phil was alone and had started a very successful business. Winnie needed a husband. So the plan was perfect! Winnie would travel to Crescent City and marry Phil.

Danny he was a wanderer. No ties, no roots and no plan. And he liked it that way. He had come back to Crescent City to sell his family land and would then become a world traveller. Much had changed since last time he’d been here. His best friend Seth had married, and his wife’s sister was living with them. The new wife, Helen, was wonderful, and Seth was so happy.
The sister, Winnie, was beautiful, funny and interesting. And was being courted by another man, so off limits. Right? Why then did Danny find himself “dropping by” Seth and Helen’s farm so often. Why was he dragging his feet on the land sale?

Winnie was trying, she really was, but Phil was boring. And he didn’t like children! How could she go through with this? Or could she?

Three lives intertwined through events out of their control. What would be the final result?
