Shakespeare, Love and Santa Claus
(2023)(The second book in the Otterford House series)
A novel by Martin Lake
SHAKESPEARE, LOVE AND SANTA CLAUS
The residents of Otterford House are giving a reading of a Midsummer Nights Dream to celebrate the birthday of Carolyn Masters, sometime movie star and owner of the house. There are a few mishaps but all in all its a success.
Emboldened by this, Luke Skywalker Dunn presses ahead with his conference Alternative Perspectives, featuring the flat earth theory, extra-terrestrials, the Loch Ness Monster and the deadly threat from Lizard-People. All does not go well.
Despite this unfortunate experience, siblings Jayne and Matthew decide to put on a Christmas Party for disadvantaged children. It may even help them get over their less than successful love lives.
The children love the party, especially the fights between rival schools. And then, at the very end, Cupid makes a belated appearance.
Genre: General Fiction
