British agent Commander Shaw is preparing for a well-deserved holiday to Australia when he is suddenly asked to take a mysterious package to Sydney.

The task seems innocuous enough - inside the package is merely a small, heavy ball, ostensibly made of steel. A number of these balls have been found without explanation, and Shaw's task is to deliver the package to a respected metallurgist in Sydney for inspection.

But when the metallurgist is found dead shortly after Shaw's visit, it is clear that something more sinister is at work. Shaw is immediately on the case and he soon discovers the existence of Rollerball, a huge metal sphere, twelve feet in diameter, that crushes everything in its path - and also contains a bomb. Who is behind this deadly device? And will this be Commander Shaw's most dangerous mission yet?

Rollerball is another thrilling instalment in the Commander Shaw series.
