(2024)(Book 53 in the Jubal Stone: U.S. Marshal series)
A novel by Randall Dale and Casey Nash
Together for the second time, two authors, Randall Dale, author of "Branson Hawk: U.S. Marshal," and Casey Nash, author of "Jubal Stone: U.S. Marshal," weave a Western filled with action, adventure and a story that will leave you breathlessly turning pages. This is Spilled Whiskey" an adventure that combines Jubal and Branson and tests their limits!
When Hull Maddox passes through Waco on his way home to Arizona from robbing stagecoaches across Texas, he makes a grave mistake when he shoots down Abel Fisher in the Thirsty Hog Saloon over spilled whiskey. Abel is what many townsfolk call a slow thinker, a young man with head problems. His pas name is Mordecai and he is currently doing hard labor in Huntsville State Prison.
The town of Waco has adopted Abel Fisher and taken him under their wing. Curly Snipes, the blacksmith, along with ol Hank, the liveryman, was particularly fond of young Abel. They paid him good wages to split his time between the two.
Hull Maddox and his partner waste no time getting out of town. Being wanted men, they ride hard west to board the first available train.
Jubal Stone and two of his deputies are out of town when Abel is shot. When they return, the citizens of Waco are in an uproar. When Jubal learns that Maddox is from Arizona, he sends a wire to his friend and fellow Marshal Branson Hawk for his help. Soon these lawmen will be riding together again, and Maddox and his partner will feel their fury.
